A big ride this Saturday, 130 miles (200K) from Droitwich to Witney and back. I had to make an early start to be back in time for the WOW Cure Leukaemia dinner, so was on the road for 7:00 am. A long day in the saddle saw me back in Droitwich at 4:00pm.
Whilst a tough ride it was good to be out on the bike on what turned out to be a very nice fresh Autumn day, as an added bonus I was able to catch up with my Nephew Matt and his mum Jane for a quick coffee in Witney.
Starting the ride in the dark and finishing in the dark, this was a good test of stamina, but when I look at what lies ahead next year there is still a lot of work to do. I’ll be riding those distances back to back for 3 weeks, and whilst is was 7,000+ feet of climbing, that’s nothing compared to the ALPS and the Pyrenees.
In the evening at Cure Leukaemia dinner this was a good reminder of why I’m doing this, the money we raise on THE Tour 21 will help so many people and help take another step closer to finding a cure.

Well done you remarkable lady, I’ll look forward to watching your progress x
