Sunday Update

It’s been a busy week, after the announcement that I’ll be joining TheTour21 team I’ve been overwhelmed by the messages of support, the interest and the offers of help.  – The best reaction “WOW!! THAT’S HUGE”

To raise £100 you do a sportive, to raise £1,000,000 for  #CureLeukaemia the challenge has to be equal to that aspiration, riding the route of the Tour De France will be the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but its not just about riding a bike, there’s as much work to do in raising money for such a worthy charity as there is in the ride itself. To those of you who have already donated my heartfelt thanks

In business you make contacts, some of whom are generous enough to help you on your way down that fundraising path. As a nurse, and now retired, I’ve not been so lucky in developing those business contacts, so if any philanthropists are out there please get touch.

My first fundraising event is out there, tickets are selling well, but there are still a few places left for anyone interested. (We are planning other events – more of them as they come up), but for now if anyone wants to hear what I’ve let myself in for – come and listen to Geoff Thomas and Mike Hopkins on the 4th December.

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Bonfire Night, one thing I’ve learnt this week is you don’t need to look in to the sky for fireworks, you can see them in the eyes of your friends when tell them exciting news!
